Orientation and Perspective

To achieve this effect the user will be required to use a camera that has manual settings, the camera that I use personally is the Canon EOS 1300D. This DSLR camera allows the user to control all the variables that may influence how an image comes out, this can be done in the manual settings where we have the ability to control the lense exposure or even who we are focussed on. An example of a focus pull can be seen above where the camera switches focus from one person to another, the way we achieve this effect is through setting the camera to manual and using the focus adjust on the lense to focus on one person and then increase the focus to create a transition between one subject and the other. This can be used by cinematographers to help show the focus of a scene or to bring the audiences attention to something in the background or to the side of what seems to be the main subject. Another factor to take into consideration when talking about orientation and perspective is lighting as it can be used to affect the way we see something or someone this is important as it means it can be used to further outline something or giving meaning. The reason why lighting is so important is because it plays such a huge role and it appears in every single scene recorded as we need light to see the character and the amount and the setup of the light will then affect the final product through giving it meaning and allowing to show something from a different perspective to make a shot a lot more professional. A example of lighting can be seen below.
